Why do I need a degree from King's Seminary? Many churches, schools, ministries, academics and employers will NOT hire you, nor use you (no matter how talented or knowledgeable you may be) unless you have achieved a higher education.
Important Student Questions for those out of the United States-I am overseas in Europe and Christians are being persecuted EVERYWHERE even put to death. If I enroll what is my guarantee that my family will NOT be put into danger? How are exams/tests taken? All open books and why? Because we cannot teach you what the Holy Spirit can teach you and we are lead by God not man. In John 14:26 it said, But the Comforter, which is the Holy (Ghost) Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. At King's Seminary open book exams allow you to take notes, texts or resource materials into an exam situation. They test your ability to find and apply information and knowledge. It's an assessment method designed in a way that allows students to refer to either class notes and summaries or a memory aid, textbooks, or other approved material while answering questions.
What kind of programs does King's Seminary have? Specialized Certifications, Vocational Diplomas, Master and Doctorate programs.
I have misdemeanors and felonies on my record. Will having a criminal background automatically disqualify me? No. Anyone who is willing to repent and commit their life to Christ, his arms are wide open. We know how serious a criminal background can be but if we ever became a physical campus we wouldn't allow people with past a criminal history to be a student. Why? For the safety of our students and besides Dr. Compher is a retired security manager. We're correspondent study so we don't have to worry and we believe everyone deserves a second chance. I am a drug user. Will the Seminary accept me as a student?
If you are addicted to narcotics (physician prescribed or not) we ask that you don't try to enroll at King's Seminary. Why? Because substance abusers can't concentrate under the influence and in reality no one can. Will you accept a GED? Yes, with documentation of completion.
Will you honor a (correspondent) home study High school diploma? Yes, with documentation of completion.
What is the minimum GPA requirement to be accepted? There is no GPA minimum requirement.
How long will it take to know I've been accepted? 2 or 3 weeks
We would prefer all students to have completed high school or its equivalent but it is NOT required for our specialized certifications and Diploma programs.
What is the application fee? Can it be waived? The application fee is $40.00 for graduate classes and $20.00 for all diploma and certification classes and no, it can not be waived.
Is there a fee for the scholarship application? The scholarship application is free of charge.
What happens If I don't get my scholarship in before the deadline date? No scholarship application will be accepted or considered. You will have another opportunity to reapply when the scholarship reopens.
What is the normal waiting time for the scholarship and how will it be applied to my class/course? It will take 2-3 weeks for notification and after you're accepted your tuition will be reduced to what the scholarship award states.
Can I get a scholarship or financial aid for certification and diploma classes? No. it's only for Master and Doctorial College classes. Why? The certification and diploma classes are inexpensive.
What is the cost of Life experience option? Can it be waived? It is only for the master degree program the (portfolio) application fee is $300 and it can not be waived.
Does King's Seminary have any accelerated degree programs? No.
What is the application deadline? There is no application deadline. Whenever you are ready to get started, apply!
How do I apply? By copying the application and mailing it in to our office.
How long will it take to complete my degree?
That depends on how many credits you will receive from prior courses, Life Experience, documented training and course you complete. The program is done at your pace. It depends on you.
Is it possible to get a degree from King's Seminary based solely on Life experience? No. the credit we allow for your life experience will reduce the amount of studies you will be required. Our degrees may be earned through a combination of your life experience credit, PLUS studies completed through King's Seminary.
What kinds of students attend King's Seminary? We have students from all fifty states and over in Europe. We have students from different backgrounds and different walks of life.
Do I have to reside in the city of Alliance or the state of Ohio in order to apply? No, you can live anywhere in the world.
Am I too young or to old? We have students from 18 to 85 attending King's Seminary. The only requirement is that you are at least 18 years old.
Who may enroll and take classes? Any adult male or female may that is willing to make an earnest effort with their studies may enroll.
How much credit from another college or school does King's Seminary allow? We appreciate many of our students have invested much of their lives serving the Lord, and we want to reward them for their efforts. According, upon request, students may be granted up to forty percent of credit hours toward their degree. We evaluate each request for credit hours upon receipt of application.
How much of my tuition contributes to Majestic Messiah Ministries Incorporated? 60 to 75 percent
King's Seminary is a religious oriented institution and does not quality for any federal loans and grant programs. King's Scholarship program through Majestic Messiah Ministries now offers all of our students an opportunity to recieve financial aid through our own funding and we also offer several low payment plan options without a loan. Can I apply for more than one scholarship? Yes, but you will only be eligible for the scholarship that best fits your background. Why? We would like to help every student achieve their goals and we need to use our funds wisely.
Can I renew my scholarship every year? No.
What if I drop out permanently and discontinue my classes. Do I have to pay back the scholarship? Yes, only the tuition that you used because the funding is from Majestic Messiah Ministries Inc.
What if an emergency arises and I have to temporarily drop out of class for several months. How will that effect my scholarship? In certain circumstances King's Seminary will give you a Grace Period and allow you to return your studies at a later date.
What does the KSCode mean? The KSCode is a discount and when you apply it to your application you get additional savings. We emphasize and highlight different KSCodes throughout the year to encourage our students.
How can King's Seminary offer these studies at such low prices? We are a "school without walls." We have no campus to maintain, no spacious lawns to groom, no library expenses, no expensive equipment to charge for, no buses to run, no fancy catalogs, no expensive textbooks, and no overpaid staff. Will I be able to transfer my hours from another college or school? Yes, we will accept them with a minimum passing grade of "C"
I have recently felt called to the Ministry. Will someone at King's Seminary help me determine what I need to do next? Absolutely! King's Seminary is a Christ-centered school and If God has called you we will help you prepare.
